MATERIAL: Alloy Steel - Heat treated.

FINISH:
  • 450° F PHCR 354 Alloy steel, Cadmium Plate per AMS QQ-P-416, Type II, Class 2. + Cetyl alcohol.
  • 450° F PHCR 354 S7 Alloy steel, Cadmium Plate + Soluble Lubricant (SPS 7 or Kaylube K76).
  • 450° F PHCR 354 M Alloy steel, Cadmium Plate per AMS QQ-P-416, type and class optional if lubricated nuts meet salt spray requirement of AMS-QQ-P-416,type II. + dry Film Lubricant.
MARKING: Parts marked with manufacturer’s symbol (SD).

PERFORMANCE: NASM-25027 Except locking torque values applicable for 5 cycles and tensile strength per table.

THREADS: In accordance with AS 8879 before lubrication.

APPLICATION: These nuts have been designed to replace AN320 castellated nuts on critical aircraft control linkage. This design provides an increase in tensile strength while reducing weight substantially over similar parts.
