MATERIAL:

• Nut - Alloy steel per AMS6322 (8740), or AMS-S-5000 (4340).
• Seal - Teflon per ASTM-D-1710.

HEAT TREAT:

• Nut - Rc 39-43 per AMS-H-6875.
• Seal - None

FINISH:

Nut - Cadmium plated per AMS-QQ-P-416, Type II, Class 3, and cetyl alcohol lubricant.

Seal - None

PERFORMANCE: KFS1009, except locking torque requirement limited to one seated cycle, and axial tensile strength as tabulated.
NOTES:

1. Nut design incorporates positive retention of sealing ring.
2. Packaging: Add "S" after dash number for spindle packaged nuts for use with K-Fast automatic tools. Example: KFN556-3S.
3. "C" and "W" dimensions apply before forming self-locking feature.
