K7200 - Stake Nut On Howmet Aerospace

THREAD: AS8879
MATERIAL: Carbon or alloy steel, heat treat.
FINISH: Cadmium plate per AMS-QQ-P-416, Type II and Kaylube molybdenum disulfide dry lubricant per AS5272, Type I.
APPLICATION: Blind application where a fixed nut will aid assembly and maintenance. Use with AS8879 external threaded elements. This series is for use where space for anchor nuts is not available. The K7200 may be used with thin sheets of such materials as aluminum alloy, brass, copper and mild steel.

K7201 and K7231 are used in areas requiring non-magnetic materials or corrosion resistant steel.

NOTE: K7201 and K7231 are dimensionally identical except for material.
